What a Kundli Actually Tells You

A Kundli is a diagram of the sky at the moment of your birth. It records the positions of the planets against the twelve houses, and those positions are what an astrologer interprets during a consultation.

What it is not is a fixed verdict. Traditional practice treats the chart as an indication of tendencies, timing and areas that deserve attention — a map rather than a sentence.

A difference of a few minutes can shift the ascendant and with it the entire house structure of the chart. This is why an accurate birth time is requested before a consultation, and why an approximate time should always be declared as approximate.

No single placement decides anything on its own. A planet's strength, the house it occupies, the periods currently running and the questions you actually came with all shape the reading. This is why a personal consultation differs so greatly from an automated report.
